Tube Light, Stop and Go

Stayed up till three thirty in the morning to watch live online streaming of the first Twenty-twenty against England at Eden Park. Apart from the ominous signs the game provided about how inferior our team looks at the moment, I think I understand why cricket will never catch on in the USA. This was a 20-20, not a test match, and it still ate up a huge chunk of time on a weekday with so much academic ground to cover. As long as I'm living the Grad student life, cricket viewing will remain a luxury I can scarcely afford (not that it's stopping me anyway). I woke up at 12, just in time for class, and my day was effectively done before it even began.

Righto...if you're the world's leading superpower and intend to stay that way, you could do worse than stay away from a game which takes way too much time. You might even accept Hinglish in the distant future; but you will never accept cricket.
